Appeal to extend IT, GST return and annual audit report till March 2020

In the current difficult times in Corona, it is difficult to file an income tax return and an annual audit report. In view of this, there is a need to extend the deadline for filing i.t and GST audit reports to 31-March-2021. In this regard, a written representation has been made to the Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi.

It is stated in the presentation by the leading c.a association of the country, It is challenging to comply with tax audit flying date 31-Oct-2020 and itr filing deadline 30-Nov.2020. The date for filing i.t return for the assessment year 2018-2019 was extended three times and lastly done on 30-Nov-2020. However, no concessions or benefits were given after extending the return period for the assessment year 2019-2020 to 31-Oct-2020.

Due to which the taxpayer is facing a lot of real problems. However, the term of the tax audit report for the financial year 2019-2020 as well as the transfer pricing report was extended to 31-Oct-2020. Also, the deadline for filing GSTR 9 And GSTR 9c for the financial year 2018-2019 was 31-Oct-2020 and the deadline for filing GSTR 9 and GSTR 9c for the financial year 2019-2020 was extended to 31-Dec-2020. But all of these dates have proved futile during Corona’s tough times.
